Hailey, Patti, and Dreyden
Patti DeBono, Director of Training

Patti’s position as Director of Training covers so much more than teaching classes.

Patti is currently a student at Oakland University studying elementary education with a specialty in Autism and still makes time to train dogs, people, and more here at Wag.

Patti is not only responsible for our class schedules, teaching classes new trainers, but also runs the Wag ‘N’ Tails foster program. This re-homing service helps dogs whose owners can’t keep them for one reason or another by working with carefully selected Rescue Organizations.

She has played an integral part in changing many lives through private lessons, classes, and even helping dogs find their forever homes. Over the years, Patti has taught every class here at Wag – Puppy, Basic, Continuing Education I and II, Agility, and Kids’ Camp.

She has two dogs of her own, Hailey and Drey, who are both German Shepherd Dogs, and a corn snake, Leo.  Although she lives in Macomb, Patti travels all over both the state and country to train her dogs in the canine sport of Schutzhund, a working dog sport combining tracking, obedience, and bite work.

Patti can be reached at wagntailsleadtrainer@gmail.com.
